    Asé Therapy and Services approaches mental health with the idea that if there is a will to change, then change will happen. Our practice aims to give our clients the power and knowledge they need to create change in their lives.

    In addition to therapy, we offer support groups, professional development, training and education for corporations and non-profits, internship opportunities for pre-licensed and Master’s level students, and clinical supervision for MFTs in Maryland and Social Workers in DC.

    Jennifer Delgado, Relationship Coach & Therapeutic Mentor

    Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the Bowie State University and completed her Master’s in Social Work at Fordham University.

    Jennifer coaches millennial couples in improving their communication, establishing healthy conflict resolution skills, and building skills for a lifetime of love. Meeting with couples, Jennifer uses several techniques to assess couples strengths and attention areas; she then employs effective strategies to move couples from surviving to thriving. Jennifer also provides mentoring and coaching to first generation students through 1:1 meetings and groups. This program is great for both undergraduate and graduate/professional students. As a first generation student herself, Jennifer knows that community, support, and information are critical to one’s academic success and mental health.

    Jennifer is the proud daughter of El Salvadoran immigrants and a Prince George’s County native. Jennifer loves her cat, Jasper, traveling, and hanging out with her partner.

    Kalphria Wilson, Individual and Family Therapist

    Serves Residents of DC

    Kalphria (Pronouns: she/her) is a Licensed Individual Clinical Social Worker in the District of Columbia who has had over seven years providing clinical services in trauma-informed settings. She has obtained a Master’s in Social Work, Clinical Track from the University of Maryland-Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Sociology from the Florida State University.

    Kalphria seeks to hold space for individuals on the path to healing from trauma, violence, systemic oppression, abuse, and grief and loss. She is passionately committed to working with marginalized groups to address inequalities in race, gender, sexual identity and sexual orientation.

    Kalphria grounds her therapeutic work in Systems Theory and uses tenets of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing Therapy. However, she does not believe that there is only one pathway to healing and adjusts to meet each individual’s unique needs.

    In her free time, Kalphria enjoys traveling to expand her knowledge and experience with different cultures, attending events with live music, and tending to her plant babies.

    Mercedez Mitchell, Clinical Intern

    Mercedez Mitchell is a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in DC. Mercedez is originally from New Jersey but has called Baltimore home for the last few years.

    Mercedez attended the illustrious Morgan State University and graduated with a B.S in Psychology. While there, she supported several research projects being done by professors and was seen as an asset to the team because of her attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. She brings those same skills to the therapy room as she takes time to get to know clients and is creative in considering solutions to their challenges. She enjoys talking with other young women and men on emotional and social issues that face our world today.

    Mercedez is eager to support people that are going through life transitions, young adults dealing with family issues, and recent high school graduates figuring out life. She connects very well with young adults that are going into their careers and want to not only understand themselves, but overcome challenges. Mercedez describes herself as an introvert but enjoys hearing people’s stories and learning about their life. Outside of her studies, Mercedez enjoys reading, exercising, and attending church with friends.

    Michelle Collins, Founder and Therapist

    Michelle is a licensed couple and family therapist based out of Baltimore, Maryland. She received her Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy. People who work with Michelle describe her as compassionate, funny, and knowledgeable.

    Michelle has over 6 years of experience providing counseling to couples, families, and individuals. Michelle has specialized training in supporting people who are seeking pre-marital support/therapy, folks who have experienced trauma, attachment issues in families and couples, and families with adolescents. Michelle approaches therapy using techniques that help clients learn coping skills, grow beyond old patterns, improve health, change relationships, and deepen sense of self. Michelle’s lived experiences as a Black woman, wife, and mother aide in her ability to help clients.

    Michelle has valuable knowledge in a variety of mental health issues and provides professional trainings, corporate presentations, and consulting. She is a Prepare/Enrich trainer for prospective facilitators and offers clinical supervision to Marriage and Family Therapists in Maryland. Michelle is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor-in training.

    In her downtime, Michelle enjoys cooking, reading Sci-Fi books, watching TikToks, and spending time with her family.

    D'Aunte Anderson, Office Manager

    D’Aunte has worked in Office Administration in various industries, including healthcare and education. He enjoys interacting with clients and he loves seeing people accomplish their therapeutic goals and develop healthier life habits with the help of their therapist. As the Office Manager, he keeps Asé running smoothly by taking care of most administrative needs. D’Aunte is currently a Business Administration student at Brookhaven College and is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). He is a Dallas, Texas native and is new to the DMV area. In his spare time, D’Aunte enjoys music festivals, traveling, and training his clients to help them obtain their fitness goals.
